It's time to get a pickin'...er...I mean, don't touch the wild flowers! Let the beauty lay as is. Alas the rain has brought flowers in full bloom, but instead of driving south with all of Israel, we turned to our backyard - Ness Tziona. There is a lovely spot called Iris Hill, or in Hebrew - Givat HaIrusim - where you can wander the lush, green, rolling hills in search for nature's beauts. There trails are semi-marked, but it's a small enough place without thick brush to pick your own adventure without getting lost. There were even park volunteers who explained about which flower was what - calaniot or poppy? I can never tell.

You can enter into GoogleMaps: גיבת הירוסים נס ציונה and it will recognize the place. There is no organized parking, and you simply park near the rest of the cars on the side of the dirt road. There are a few shady spots to have a picnic, but no picnic benches or restrooms - just a la nature.

I saw some families bring notebooks and crayons for their kids to draw the flowers they saw, which was adorable. Enjoy the stroll and take time to smell the flowers.
